Also endlich gesund, weiter geht’s. Wieder zurück Richtung Tulum, dort Geld abgehoben, Taschentücher und Mosquitospray gekauft und nach Cobá gedüst. Dort ein wunderbares Hotel bezogen und die WR neben dem Pool abgestellt.
Am nächsten Tag nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück zuerst zu einer weiteren Cenote 10 Minunten vom Ort gefahren – unfaßbar! Eine steile Treppe in eine Karsthöhle und unten dann klasklares, warmes Wasser, was für ein Erlebnis! Kein Wunder, dass den Maya diese „Zugänge zur Unterwelt“ heilig waren.
Am Abend dann über die Nebenstrassen des Ortes zur Maya Stätte, fast alleine am Gelände gewesen, Mini-Spiderman getroffen und den letzten Sonnenuntergang des Jahres auf der höchsten Pyramide der Yucatan-Halbinsel bewundert.

After hitting the road again it was first going back to Tulum to crab some cash, buy some tissues and mosquito spray. Then on to Cobá – found a really nice Hotel where I could park my WR directly next to the pool.
So the next day after an awesome breakfast i went to a cenote about 10 minutes from town and what should I say…breathtaking! Steep stairs leading into a cave where you find crystal clear, warm water inviting you for a swim. There you’ll understand why those ‚entries to the underworld‘ were sacred to the ancient maya…
In the evening I went to the Ruins of ancient Cobá where I was almost alone, met tiny spiderman and enjoyed the last sunset of the year on top of the highest pyramid of the yucatan peninsula.
