In Antigua hab ich einen 2-wöchigen Crashkurs in Spanisch besucht, da kommt man nebenher zu nicht mehr viel. Irgendwie muß das zuvor gelernte ja übertragen und gefestigt werden – dann ist der Tag auch schon wieder um. Ein Konversationstalent bin ich jetzt trotzdem nicht, aber es wird reichen um den Rest der Reise zu bestreiten.
Heute auch noch einen Ölwechsel machen lassen – eigentlich wollte ich ja selbst Hand anlegen, aber nachdem sie 25 Quetzales verlangt haben (€ 2,75)…
Einen neuen Hinterreifen werde ich mir auch noch dort hinbestellen lassen, weil nach meiner Runde nach Nicaragua (weitere 2000km) werde ich wohl einen brauchen für die Mexikodurchquerung.
Also sollte wer in Antigua eine Werkstatt brauchen: Motorpsycho.
Jetzt aber erst einmal 2 Wochen lang die Schönheiten Guatemalas erfahren.

In Antigua I did a crash course in spanish for 2 weeks and actually had not a lot of spare time. As you have to re-write what you’ve learned those days were over pretty fast. I’m still not the big spanish speaker but it will get me through the rest of my trip.
Today I did an oil change – well, actually the mechanics did it, because after they told me it would be 25 Quetzales ($ 3,50) i decided to not get my hands dirty. 🙂
I also will get them to order a new rear tire as I will need it after my trip to Nicaragua (another 2000km). It’s a long way through Mexico…
