Im Süden Tucsons liegt an der Grenze zu Mexiko der Coronado National Forest, durchwegs bergig, schaut teilweise ein wenig wie Südosteuropa aus. Vom Apache Trail also dort hinunter, wo der nächtliche Sturm den sandigen Boden dermaßen aufgewirbelt hat, dass das ganze Zelt voll war…zumindestens weiß ich jetzt, dass das Zelt einiges aushält, hatte doch bange Momente diese Nacht, dass alles zusammenbricht.

In the south of Tucson you can find mountainous areas mostly bound in the Coronado National Forest – reminded me in some parts a bit on south-eastern-european landscapes. So I went from Apache Trail down there and spent a very stormy night which brought quite some sand into my tent. At least I know now that the tent is pretty durable, there were some moments that night I was afraid it would tear apart.
